Designer's Notes

The Bands Flatweave represents an intentional study in rhythm, geometry, and natural texture. Designed by Esti Barnes to anchor contemporary living spaces, this piece juxtaposes bold, structured stripes with the unpredictable, shifting tones of authentic, shimmering abaca yarn.

Rather than a static pattern, the alternating bands create a sophisticated sense of movement across the floor, making it a powerful visual foundation for minimalist, mid-century, or modern architectural interiors. Esti envisions this piece as a way to inject tailored warmth into high-traffic spaces, serving as a functional piece of art that bridges the gap between furniture layouts and structural lines.

Each rug is hand-woven by skilled artisans, ensuring that while the geometric design remains precise, the organic variation of the natural fibres gives every single piece a unique soul.
